Hey! It's winter time...
|
At this time, multiple greyhound tracks are closing leaving hundreds of greyhounds
without a place to live. There are also hundreds of dogs at the Florida and Alabama
tracks who will be displaced due to the current track and farm closings.
If you have been thinking about adopting and/or fostering a greyhound, go
ahead and take the plunge and adopt a retired racing greyhound in 2010.

Featured Greyt of the Month
Artist is a friendly, sweet, and very handsome boy – a nice deep red brindle with
beautiful black markings. Arte has made a greyt transition from track to retirement.
His foster mom says Arte is just a super companion – very laid back kind of guy who
loves walks and car rides. I think she would adopt him, but she wants to be able
to foster more greyhounds. Arte’s hobbies: Playing with stuffies and hanging out
with a human. He also loves soft beds and blankets. He is currently living with
another female lab mix and they are doing well together. Arte is the full brother
to Jazz who entered our program in the spring of 2009. Artist is on the look-out
for a long-term relationship with a loving family and a forever home!
